Targeting Your Customers

And Getting More Traffic

We all know the importance of targeting your potential customers. The goal is to reach those that are interested in your products and getting them to your website.

So you built a website, now let’s get them to it!

Some tactics to get them are:

Submit your site to all of the major search engines. This is of utmost importance. You don’t have to submit to hundreds of them, just the top ones such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, HotBot, Ask.com, Open Directory, Dogpile and AOL. Be careful regarding your tags for optimum results.

Write articles weekly. Two articles a week is good amount to start with.

Now submit them to blogs. Once again, you need to be careful of your keywords.

Blogging is a great way to find those with similar interests who may be looking for what you have to offer. Don’t forget to view other blogs and comment on them. Include your link.

Join forums and become active in them. Once again, add your link. You want those potential customers!

Advertise your website to classifieds. Be selective. You don’t always have to pay to advertise. There are many places to advertise for free. Some advertisers allow you to earn credits by reading other advertisements. You can them redeem them for advertising of your own.

Use social book marking sites such as You Tube and My Space.

Join social groups such as AdLand and Direct Matches. These groups are professionals who want to develop repose with other such as you. Build relationships first with the group members. Then pass your information on to them. Just remember no hard sales!

Keep up with all of these. Check your rankings keep posting and advertising. This is not something that happens overnight!
